Steven Wiltshire is nicknamed “the human camera”. He can remember tiny details about anything he has seen and then draw them. After Steven flew over Rome, he accurately drew from memory the winding streets, the buildings, the windows and other tiny details.

Steven’s memory is incredible. But there’s another kind of memory even more amazing and important. Before Jesus went back to heaven, He promised His friends that He would send the Holy Spirit to remind them of everything He taught: “[He] will remind you of everything I have said to you” (JOHN 14:26).

Jesus’ friends heard His powerful teaching and saw Him tell the blind to see, the deaf to hear and the dead to come back to life. Yet when the Bible writers wrote down these events, their words were not just their own. Their memory of events came from the Holy Spirit who made sure they created a trustworthy record of Jesus’ life.
