Week 8: When I Have Doubts

Day 2 Bible Reading: Psalm 30:1-5

Rejoicing in the Morning

Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning (V.5).

Kate was a young woman who had an accident that caused brain damage; she could no longer speak or take care of herself. Recently, her dad told me, “The only way we’ve been able to go through this is by drawing close to God. He gives us the strength we need.”

Kate’s mum agreed and said their sadness and pain was so deep at the time of the accident, that they wondered if they’d ever feel happy again. As they both leaned upon God, they found that He cared for their entire family.

Although Kate may never be able to speak again, she now recognises them and gives them wide smiles—a great reason to thank God! Her parents’ favourite verse continues to be: “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (PS. 30:5).

Have you or your family gone through life-changing pain or issues? Are you struggling to move forward? There is the promise of future happiness when you lean on our loving God today.
