Day 3 Bible Reading: Habakkuk 3:11-19
Yet I Will Rejoice
Life can be really rubbish. Homework piles up; friends are too busy to hang out; our family members are fighting again. At some point we’ve all thought, Where is God in all this?
But we all have a choice about how we react to our problems and pain. Habakkuk gives us a great example to follow: he made the choice to rejoice.
Habakkuk watched as God’s people kept on ignoring Him and living in selfish and unkind ways—and this upset him deeply. But God’s reaction troubled him even more. God would use the wicked people of Babylon to punish Judah.
Habakkuk did not fully understand this, but he could rejoice because he had learned to fully rely on the wisdom, justice and rule of God, though it was not clear how God’s people would survive.
We too can rejoice and praise God in our problems—not because of the problems themselves, but because we have confidence in the God who walks with us, looks after us and carries us through.

To Pray About . . .
Lord, a lot of things in my life aren't going the way I want it to be, but I want to rejoice in You.
