Day 3 Bible Reading: Colossians 1:15-23
Jupiter Falling
One time, while we were studying the planets at school, I bought a model of the solar system. I tried to hang them on the ceiling of my room. After what seemed like hours, I was dizzy, fed up and tired. That evening, I heard a clink as Jupiter hit the floor.
I’ve sometimes thought about how my flimsy model fell apart, yet Jesus keeps the actual universe going. “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (COL. 1:17). Jesus holds our world in His hands, including the natural laws that rule the galaxy. He keeps the universe in order by commanding it to be so!
As amazing as this is, Jesus is more than the ‘caretaker’ of our universe. He “gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need” (ACTS 17:25, NLT). He always keeps us going whether we are broken-hearted, struggling with school work or facing family troubles.
Until the day we’re with Jesus in heaven, we can trust that just as He keeps Jupiter from falling, He’ll hold us up as well.

To Pray About . . .
Thank You, Jesus, for being in charge of this world. It is Yours.
