Day 1 Bible Reading: Hebrews 13:1-8
Never Alone
I first played football for my school—and I’ve never lost my love for “The Beautiful Game”. I support Liverpool FC and watch as many of their games as I can. When I’m at their matches, I love it when the fans sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. It’s something special to hear 50,000 fans sing such a powerful song together! That song is important to the Liverpool fans and players.
Each one of us wants to belong; to know we won’t be left alone. God made us to live as part of His family, with people around us to look out for us, do life with us and comfort us when things are hard.
But even if we feel lonely as Christians, we don’t need to feel cut off. Even if friends leave us or we face rejection, we are never truly alone. God has promised: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (HEB. 13:5). These are not just words from a song to make us ‘feel’ better. They are words spoken by God to us. It is the promise of God Himself to His children. All His children. He is here—and He isn’t going away.
With Jesus, you will never walk alone.

To Pray About . . .
Father, when I feel lonely, please help me to remember that You are right here with me. Help me to look out for others who need a friend to be with them at the moment.
