Day 5 Bible Reading: Exodus 3:1-15
Don’t Be Surprised
Lots of people wonder why God doesn’t step in when things go wrong. Why doesn’t He do something about the mess and sort it out? Why doesn’t He fix our problems right away?
But God has already stepped in: through the birth, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Through these powerful events God rescues everyone who trusts Him. He gives us forgiveness and a brand new, unending life. It’s the real answer to the world’s most deadly disease—sin.
God does still step in and help people through difficult times today, but He does this mainly by using us! It’s like when God stepped in and rescued His people from slavery in Egypt. He didn’t just click His fingers and free them.
Instead, He used Moses (EX. 3:7-10), saying, “I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt” (V.10). Moses suddenly felt very scared: “Who am I that I should go?” (V.11). God promised him, “I will be with you” (V.12).
Do you have friends or family who you worry about? Are you praying for them? Don’t be surprised if God reaches out to them through you!

To Pray About . . .
Lord, send me the people that You want me to approach. I want to work with You to spread the Gospel and invite them to believe in You and Your salvation.
