Day 3 Bible Reading: Ephesians 2:8-9
Free 4 All
My church wanted to help people in our community who were struggling with money to buy food and pay bills. So one Saturday afternoon we held an event called “Free 4 All”. We brought things we hardly used, then opened the doors for anyone to take whatever they could make use of.
The day was a huge success! But something else made it even better: six people decided to trust Jesus as their Saviour. These six new Christians took part in the greatest “Free 4 All” of all time—the offer of new life through Jesus Christ.
The things brought to church to be given away had already been paid for. They were given without cost to all who simply asked for them. In the same way, forgiveness for our sins has already been paid for.
Jesus paid the price when He died on a cross over 2,000 years ago (ROM. 3:23-25). He now offers salvation at no cost to all who simply turn to Him and believe that He has the power to forgive and save (ACTS 16:31).
Each of us is spiritually needy—and only Jesus can meet that need. Have you accepted what He offers without cost at the world’s biggest “Free 4 All”?
