Day 4 Bible Reading: Romans 16:1-16
Who’s Looking Out For You
Who do you have looking out for you at your church? Are there older Christians praying for you, mentoring you and sharing from their life experiences with you?
Dave was that person for me when I was a teenager. He not only spent time with me and answered my questions, but he took risks for me. He gave me chances to serve in the church—even letting me teach from the Bible on some Sunday mornings! But, as a result, he helped prepare me for a life of following Jesus. He’s now passed away. But I’m glad I was able to say thanks to him and let him know how much he helped me.
Just as I am thankful for Dave in my life, Paul was grateful for Aquila and Priscilla, who served Jesus with him. He said: “They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them” (ROM. 16:4).
If you have older Christians in your life who are looking out for you and helping you to get to know Jesus better, take some time to thank them. Let them know that God is using them in your life. And then continue to listen to them.

To Pray About . . .
Thank you, Jesus, for bringing people into my life who share their experiences and mentor me. Teach me to be humble while I receive their advice.
