Day 4 Bible Reading: Nehemiah 4:10-20
Keep Moving Forwards
Since I first trusted Jesus as my Saviour, I’ve battled doubts and uncertainty many times. The things He has asked me to do often feel impossible. But as I continue to stay close to God, He surrounds me with people who pray for and with me. When I rely on His power, not my own, I can move forwards trusting Him, even when I face disappointments, rejection or my own worries.
Nehemiah showed how powerful praying is when he faced something that seemed impossible (NEH. 1:5-6). He kept going when some people made fun of him and the others who were rebuilding the city walls (4:1-3).
But Nehemiah and the people gave their worries to God and worked “with all their heart” (V.6). Over time, when they got tired and doubted (V.10), Nehemiah helped them keep on going (V.14). God’s people knew there would be problems, prepared for the attacks that would come, committed to working together and stayed confident that God would protect and provide for them (VV.19-20) until the wall was completed (6:15).
When we’re committed to Jesus, our classmates might make fun of us and we might have to battle our own doubts. But as we rely on Him, God can help us keep moving forwards as we trust Him, follow Him and do whatever He asks of us.

To Pray About . . .
Lord, please be my strength when I find it hard to move forward with You and in situations that seem impossible. Provide me people who love You to pray together with me.
