Week 75 Bible Reading: Psalm 119:89–96

God Is There!

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. - Matthew 24:35

At the beginning of World War II (1940s), bombs dropped from airplanes damaged much of Warsaw, Poland. However, most of one building stubbornly stood—the Polish headquarters for the British and Foreign Bible Society. Still readable on one surviving wall were these words: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35 KJV).

Jesus made that statement to encourage His followers (v. 3). But His words also give us courage today. No matter what has happened today at school or at home, we can still trust God’s character and His promises.

One psalm writer said: “Lord, your word is everlasting. It continues forever in heaven” (Psalm 119:89 ICB). Psalms also says, “You will be faithful for all time to come” (v. 90 NIRV).

Did you have a tough day today? God is there for you. Choose hope. The Bible reminds us that God’s love will never fail.
