Week 72 Bible Reading: Acts 9:1–9
Good Things
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. - Ephesians 2:10
There once was a guy who didn’t like Christians. He was absolutely obsessed with locking them up or getting them killed. One day, on his way to arresting them, he met Jesus, and everything changed. Instead of killing Christians, this guy started sharing about Jesus with everyone he met. God chose him to teach and preach to churches across the world. His Hebrew name was Saul, but you may know him by his Greek name, Paul—the apostle who wrote most of the New Testament.
God flipped Paul’s passion from the wrong things to the right ones—God’s dreams and purposes for him! Just as God chose Paul, He’s chosen you. The Bible says, “He has created [you] anew in Christ Jesus, so [you] can do the good things he planned for [you] long ago” (Ephesians 2:10).
Don’t underestimate God’s plans for you. If God can take someone like Paul—who made some huge mistakes—to share God’s love, imagine what He’s dreaming up for you!
