Doing The Impossible
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. - Philippians 4:13
Nothing gets in the way of a mother robin, especially when she’s building her nest.
In the middle of a storm, one mother robin landed on a slanted roof. Normal birds wouldn’t choose a slanted, slippery roof as the place to build a home. But this mother robin had a plan: You see, she carried lots of dirt with her. In the rain, the dirt tuned into mud glue. With this mud glue, she carefully mixed together leaves and twigs, and there, in that pouring rain—on a very slanted and slippery roof—this tough mother robin built herself a brand new nest. Wow.
If you never give up, it’s amazing what you can do! This is especially true if you have the God of the universe on your side. The Bible says you can do “everything through Christ, who gives [you] strength” (Philippians 4:13). Even in the toughest times—those that leave you discouraged, sad, or scared—you can overcome by leaning on God’s amazing power (whose power lives inside of you!).
With God alive in you, you can do all things.
