He's Listening
Have you ever wondered if God’s really listening? Like, doesn’t He have bigger, more important things to do than talk to us (a.k.a. running the universe)?
Just in case you’ve ever wondered if God hears you (or even cares), imagine this: you’re only two years old, and you’re running outside on a beautiful summer day. Suddenly, you trip and fall, stubbing your big toe.
Screaming, you run home to your Mom.
Would she have looked at you, bored and yawning, and said, “Why are you bothering me with something as small as a stubbed toe? I’m busy! I have more important things to deal with right now.”
No way! Likely, your Mom would have sprung into action: finding a Band-Aid, washing your toe off, getting you all fixed up. She would have received you with love.
The Bible tells us that God loves us like that, as a mom loves her own kids. Even if she could stop loving her kids (nearly impossible), God says He promises never to stop loving us. He’s even written our names on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:15–16)!
Your heavenly Father cares for you, and He’s listening.
