We're Safe
You’ve heard of Fort Knox, Kentucky, right?
There’s a well-protected building there that stores 5,000 tons of gold bullion and other precious items. But it’s not like Costco; they are not giving out free samples!
Fort Knox is one of the safest places on Earth. The building has a twenty-two-ton door and many layers of physical security: including unmarked Black Hawk helicopters.
There’s another place that’s safer, and it’s filled with something more precious than gold: Heaven holds your gift of eternal life. Peter encouraged believers in Christ to praise God because we have “a living hope”—a confident expectation that grows and gains strength the more we learn about Jesus (1 Peter 1:3).
Our hope is based on the fact that Jesus was raised from the dead on what we call Easter. His gift of eternal life will always be there for us. God has been keeping it safe and will continue to do so forever. No matter what problems you run into, remember this: If you have trusted Jesus as Savior, you’re safe forever.
Even safer than the gold at Fort Knox, our salvation is protected by God, and you are secure.
