Week 30 Bible Reading: Psalm 112

Happy is the person who fears the Lord. - Psalm 112:1 ICB

Who are the good men in your life? Perhaps your dad. Your grandpa. Your pastor. Maybe a favorite guy teacher at school. A sports coach.

At your age, this is a good time to seek out men you can trust to lead you to make good decisions and to live for Jesus in an exciting new way.

So how do you know what to look for in a good man?

In Psalm 112 we find a clear set of guidelines for what makes a man good. According to the psalmist, a good man fears the Lord (v. 1), delights in God’s commands (v. 1), and is gracious, compassionate, and righteous (v. 4). He is generous and makes good decisions (v. 5). He is unshakable in his faith, and he has no fear because his trust is in God (vv. 6–8).

Looking for a good man to lead you in life? Reread Psalm 112. It gives you a pattern for all Christian men to follow if they want to make a difference in their world.
