Thank-You Letter
Can you think of someone you’re very thankful for? Maybe they helped you out or are just a special person in your life? Here’s a fun idea: write a thank-you letter, telling this person what they did to make you so thankful for him or her. Then, meet with this amazing person—whether virtually or in person—reading your letter out loud to them. They’ll love it. (You will too!)
Around the world, in a whole movement of thank-you-note writing, thousands of people have read their letters aloud to their special people—and the people on the receiving end were incredibly encouraged.
The Bible is full of letters, and the authors often remember to thank their good friends too. Here’s a great example: In his letter to the church in Rome, Paul thanked his close friends Priscilla and Aquila for how brave they were to risk their lives for him—he said not only he, but all the churches were thankful for their courageous missionary work (Romans 16:3–4).
So, who are you going to thank today? Because you’re not only going to make his or her day—but yours too!
Jesus, there are so many things to be grateful for—and sometimes I forget about them. Remind me to be thankful for the things You’ve blessed me with, no matter if they’re big or small!
